HARRIS FPs 0 v 3 MERPRO BREMNER CUP 1ST ROUND SATURDAY 21/01/12 1.30PM KO(ptaf) Strange match on a difficult surface - spells of lengthy
dominance with some good football but never fully finished match off until later in game. Fin having very little to do in
goals - only touch of ball in first half was passback.. but good GK saves and some easy chances scorned
kept Harris in the match until sealing win later in second half for eventual comfortable win. Goals from Euan
and Craig x 2 inc pen.
SSPP
V MERPRO PREMIER LEAGUE SATURDAY 14/1/12 1.30PM KO Match called off by (very apologetic) Referee
30 mins before ko due to frostbound pitch - had inspected pitch at 11am and felt game would be playable later in the
day..however resulted in wasted journey to Dundee.

v MERPRO (Winners play DUNDEE COLLEGE in next round)
MERPRO 3 V
4 ST JAMES PREMIER LEAGUE SATURDAY 7/1/12 1.30PM KO Yet another frustrating match outcome due to controversial
officiating decision making. Sitting 2-1 up looking reasonably comfortable. Two goals then annoyingly disallowed esp second
which looked perfectly fine kept St James in match. Selective handball decisions then made allowing equaliser and
penalty resulting in a sending off and further finished off by blatant offside goal to round off a furious
15 minute spell. Fought back well with 10 men but not enough in the end. Goals from Euan,Craig and Ally.
MERPRO AFC WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL THE PLAYERS, SPONSORS, SUPPORTERS AND
THE BACK ROOM FOR THEIR COMMITMENT AND ENCOURAGEMENT DURING THE PAST HISTORIC YEAR. MIDLANDS DIVISION 1 CHAMPIONS
AND PREMIER LEAGUE PARTICIPATION FOR THE FIRST TIME FROM A MONTROSE AMATEUR SIDE. A BIG WELL DONE TO ALL THE VARIOUS

AND CONTENTED NEW YEAR.

MERPRO V ST JAMES PREMIER LEAGUE SATURDAY 10/12/11 2PM KO Match called off
due to frozen pitch - sides ok but goalmouths/middle area rock hard. All Premier League matches postponed today.
BANK STREET ATHLETIC 3 V 1 MERPRO PREMIER LEAGUE SATURDAY 3/12/11 2PM KO Good match with
both sides attempting to play some decent football on a quagmire of pitch until ruined by some thuggery near end of game as
result of off the ball kicks/punches.Close run game with both sides having some great chances.Bankies had final say as Merpro
pushed players forward in closing stages with late goal to kill match and remain unbeaten in league. Merpro goal
from Sean.
BROUGHTY UNITED 4 V 5 MERPRO PREMIER LEAGUE SATURDAY 26/11/11 2PM KO What a match..yet another Merpro thriller - 3 nil down at half time after series
of gift goals given away. However superb second half fightback with wave after wave of relentless probing attacking football.
Gave away another soft goal in second half to go 4-2 down but eventually wore down the inspired Broughty GK and defence. Breakthrough
was finally made with quick fire double goals to draw level but drama not over as snatched last gasp winner in injury
time to set off some team joy. Goals from Craig(pen),Bad Boy,Sean and Duff junior..
MERPRO 4 V 1 CARNOUSTIE ATHLETIC NORTH OF TAY 3RD ROUND SATURDAY 19/11/11
1.30PM KO (ptaf) Good first half performance
completely dominant but only one goal up after some gilt edged chances missed. Second half Carnoustie came back into match
and played some good football but gradually got back on top to run out comfortable in the end to move into last 16. Goals from Sean,Euan(2) and Chris on his full return to action after long lay off.
MERPRO 0 V 2 INVERGOWRIE PREMIER LEAGUE SATURDAY12/11/11 2PM KO Smash n grab result
clinched with two late goals - frustrating outcome as Merpro largely dominated game but left to rue missed
chances - 3 scrambled off line and woodwork hit. Good football by both sides in an entertaining match.
MERPRO 2 V 6 CARNOUSTIE YM PREMIER LEAGUE SATURDAY 7/11/11 2PM KO Carnoustie fully deserving of win
with impressive slick pass n move display. Goals from Boulder and GG.
MAFA General
Committee meeting 3/11/11 news Fairmuir SC / Logie Club have both folded from the Association. In an attempt to have as many matches as possible played over the winter period no matches will be cancelled any earlier
than 7pm on a Friday evening - this will allow Match Secretary opportunity to rearrange matches if specific grounds are deemed
unplayable.(This mainly applies to those teams who play on Council pitches which are called off on Fridays) Referees
have been instructed not to allow any players onto the field of play either wearing or having taped up any
jewellery. All jewellery needs to be removed prior to match. No Merpro suspensions Various suspensions handed out
inc 3 year ban for player accused of spitting..
LOGIE HARP 3 V 2 MERPRO PREMIER LEAGUE SATURDAY 29/10/11 2PM KO Disapointing result losing
poor goal in last 5 mins from (well spotted gap..) free kick after hard work in second half retrieving match. Went ahead
early in first half but good spell from Logie created 2 quick fire goals to take them ahead at half time. Goals
from Ally Duff and Craig Allan in either half. MERPRO 4 V 3 BROUGHTY UNITED PREMIER LEAGUE SATURDAY
22/10/11 2PM KO Back to the dramatic matches again..twice came from behind at end of each half with flurry
of goals and eventually seal the match with a composed pen finish in the 90th minute.Rollercoaster match with both
sides hitting wodwork.Broughty had most possesion and played a lot of good football but Merpro most chances (and
squandered a few as well..) bit towsy in the end as tempers flared however Craig Allan kept his composure with free
kick and pen to settle the drama.
BANK STREET ATHLETIC 2 V 1 MERPRO FOSTERS SCOTTISH AMATEUR CUP 2nd
ROUND SATURDAY 15/10/11 2PM KO Scottish Cup exit after hard fought result - nervous opening with reshaped side
due to suspension, injuries and Tartan Army footsoldiers but gradually settled into shape. Bank Street pressured
throughout game and rearguard action with defence playing well but we scorned three really good openings.. Fine
goal from Duff Junior in first half to equalise. (see match report for full details)
NORTH OF TAY CUP DRAW MERPRO V CARNOUSTIE ATHLETIC 19/11/11
PORTCULLIS 1 V 3 MERPRO NORTH OF TAY CUP 2nd Round SATURDAY 8/10/11 2PM
KO Merpro had to make several changes due to Scotland duties / injuries and changed formation but still able to maintain
good recent results and run up comfortable victory in the end. Thanks to Portcullis for aftermatch hospitality. Goals from Sean,Chuckie..and Paul.(see match report for full details)
RIVERSIDE ATHLETIC 1 V 3 MERPRO PREMIER LEAGUE SATURDAY 1/10/11 2PM KO Merpro's first Premier League victory to set their league campaign
off and running.Early goal after good pressure and could have gone further ahead with some good chances not taken. Riverside
equalised but we went further ahead in 40 mins to make it 2-1 at half time. Riverside applied second half pressure but
Merpro always dangerous on breakaway and clinched historic victory with late goal in 83rd min over sporting opponents generally
recognised as the top side in Midlands football over past 15 years. Goals from Boulder(2) and Yeti(see match report
for full details)
FOSTERS SCOTTISH AMATEUR CUP 1st Round VALE
of EARN 1 v 3 MERPRO 24/9/11 Improved second half performance with late surge of goals secured the victory.First
half fairly even with both sides having some decent chances but went behind in 40 mins to a stunning strike.Vale had breakaway
chances in second half but gradual build up of pressure paid off in the end. Goals from Boulder,Duff Snr..and Rhys.
NORTH OF TAY CUP 1st ROUND MERPRO 10 V 0 STAR OF ATHOLL 17/9/11 Merpro hit the goal trail with a comprehensive victory over Perthshire
opponents from Blair Atholl. A couple of quick fire hat tricks from Boulder and Duff Jnr in each half set up the win.
Some decent play all round in difficult conditions acknowledged after the match by gracious opponents.Goals Boulder(4),Euan(3)Dean(2)
and Daz expertly executed edge of the box volley.
TAYSIDE
FIRE BRIGADE 2 V 0 MERPRO PREMIER LEAGUE SATURDAY 10/9/11 2PM KO Another disapointing result - played
reasonably well but well within ourselves as much changed side due to hols, sickness and absentees and as game looked to be
heading for draw mistake allowed TFB goal and late second as we chased game.
MERPRO 1 V 6 MENZIESHILL PREMIER LEAGUE SATURDAY 3/9/11 Groundhog day with decent first half
and going ahead just before break and looking good but gave away early soft goals and then debateable offside decisions
led to loss of focus and Menzieshill clinical in their finishing. Craig's tapped in goal on the line as
Dean's effort was probably going in.. MERPRO
0 V 5 NCR PREMIER LEAGUE WEDNESDAY 31/8/11 6.30PM KO Even first half with match in the balance but poor
second half allowed NCR to dominate and run out emphatic winners.
MERPRO
0 V 2 SSPP PREMIER LEAGUE WEDNESDAY 24/8/11 6.30PM KO Merpro's first Premier League match. Good match,no contoversy with both sides testing each other out with passing football in an even game.SSPP took
advantage of a 10 min spell mid second half when Merpro lost bit of tempo and scored to capitalise.Merpro came close
with Craig Allan shot off bar in first half and despite disapointment with the defeat played well. Good
referee.
NCR 4 V 0 MERPRO MARQUEE TROPHY SATURDAY
20/8/11 2PM KO Poor display and NCR fully deserving of win.
MERPRO
3 V 4 MENZIESHILL MARQUEE TROPHY WEDNESDAY 17/8/11 6.30PM KO Good match with both sides playing some
excellent football at times. Merpro on top but kept throwing it away with Menzieshill efficiently clinical
- some great goals and loads of chances to kill game off. Goals from Craig, Rhys(goal of the season contender)and
Euan.
MERPRO 3 V 5 SS PETER & PAUL MARQUEE
TROPHY SATURDAY 13/8/11 2PM KO SSPP snatched the points today in an infuriating match largely due to some very
contentious selective decision making. With Merpro leading 2-1 and the match progressing well in our favour a Merpro
player was sent off for foul and abusive language(sic) incredible in the context of the game..after querying about SSPP not
being 12 yards from a free kick.. SSPP galvanised hit back and went 3-2 up till we equalised but late
goals gave the visitors the spoils. Both sides had good spells playing decent football and we had some good chances to kill
off match but overall left with sense of injustice at result and decisions made..Goals from Craig, Dean and Scotney. MARQUEE TROPHY LEAGUE CUP SECTION MENZIESHILL NCR SS PETER
& PAUL
Merpro have been busy in the close season adding
to the squad with some new signings. Aiden Pert and Connor Brown have returned to the team after another professional
season under their belts with Montrose FC U'19s.Dean Sellar also returns after a couple of seasons playing with Welfare
side Black Abbot.Goalkeeper Steven Gall steps up from Welfare side Neptune after training most of last season with Merpro
and Jamie Lownie has strapped himself up to sign from the Golf Inn.Scott Pithie previously a regular in the Fife
Kingdom Amateur league will be available between his offshore working commitments and finally John Murdoch "happiest
man alive" after resigning for the Merpro,(you should have seen the size of the smile..!)after discovering
the joys of management last season with Montrose Amateurs... Pre
season matches. Mixed bag of results with fluctuating performance levels but allowed chance to experiment with new players
and systems.

footballing performance with lots of good passing interplay, Goals from Dean Craig and Paul.
Merpro 4 v
5 Arbroath HSFPs Saturday 30/7/11 Roselea Broomfield Park Lots of players missing and a woeful first half allowed
the young FPs to play some good fast football leaving Merpro 4 nil down at half time...however a much improved second
half brought game back to 4-4 only to concede a sloppy goal in final minute. Goals from Dean(2) Scotney Craig (pen)
Strathmore 4 v 2 Merpro Wednesday 3/8/11 Padanaram Game of two halves..another poor first half
performance overpowered in early stages and 3 nil down half time this time..! Second half changed formation and
began to 'fight back' and with signs of improvement but allowed another late gifted goal. Goals from
Craig(2)(inc 1 pen)
Dundee College 1 v 3 Merpro Saturday 6/8/11 Gardyne Road At last a 90
minute all round focussed display with some decent performances and solid runout for all. Goals from Euan

MERPRO 2 V 2 NEWPORT (aet) (NEWPORT WIN 5-4 PENALTY KICKS) GRAY TROPHY FINAL SATURDAY 4/6/11 2PM KO CRAIGIE PARK DUNDEE Drama continued to follow the 'Merpro
young guns' right to the end of the 2010/11 season..after yet another rollercoaster of a match Newport managed to snatch the
victory out of Merpro's grasp to take the Cup back across the Tay to Fife. Newport started the match well and
had most of the early play.Merpro clawed their way back into the match after going 2 goals down with a Craig Allan deflected
shot looping over the GK.This galvanished Merpro and they finally freed themselves up and began to click and then dominated
the match to equalise two minutes from the end with goal from Daz to force extra time. Merpro continued to
pummel a now weary Newport but frustratingly somehow contrived to miss chance after chance and loads more..!
In between all this was a very controversial penalty awarded by the Assistant to Newport saved by Hendo adding
to the excitement ... Penalties produced even more drama with Campbell, Craig,Sean and Paul converting and
with Hendo again saving a Newport penalty up stepped Daz to attempt to finish the job...he calmly sent the GK the wrong way
but the ball slid just agonisingly wide... into sudden death with Nicol's pen saved and a Newport conversion clinching
the tie. As the Midlands President George Burton said at the presentation the spectators "got their monies
worth" Congratulations to Newport and all the best for next season.
Merpro AFC would like to thank all the supporters who travelled through to watch and gave us great support
- it was great to hear the roars when we scored.

NEWPORT 5 V 5 MERPRO DIVISION 1 WEDNESDAY 25/5/11 7PM KO Defences on top...! Cavalcade of goals in a wide open frenetic match which was anything but end of season fare. Both sides attacking at will and more often as not scoring as well..some cracking goals inc a 40 yard wonder strike from
the Yeti..Merpro 3-1 up looking comfortable then Newport storm back to lead 4-3 and continued exchanges therafter
till everbody got fed up and went home at 5 apiece.... Goals from Bad Boy(2),Boulder,Sean and Craig.

 DUNDEE UNIVERSITY 1 V 4 MERPRO DIVISION 1 SATURDAY 21/5/11
2PM KO CHAMPIONS...victory today seals the title. Despite winning what was effectively 'title decider' last
week 2 points were still needed to confirm the title.Got off to perfect start with early goal after 5 minutes. University
came back well into match with wind advantage but in second half we took off and ran out convincing winners. Goals
from Euan, Honey Monster(2) and Campbell's first goal for 'the Merpro' ! Superb effort over the
season and a thoroughly deserved well done to all in the Merpro camp. "good times never seen so
good.."..

MERPRO 2 V 0 LOGIE HARP DIVISION 1 SATURDAY 14/5/11
2PM KO Hard fought victory gives Merpro massive advantage in title race.First half under the cosh against strong wind
and Logie dominated.Merpro defence held firm and different game in second half as tables turned. Two quick goals early
in half set up the victory to extend lead to 7 points with 3 games left to play. Goals from Craig Allan pen and low shot
inside box after good work on both occasions from Euan Duff.
 MERPRO 4 V 1 MORGAN FPs DIVISION 1 WEDNESDAY 11/5/11
7PM KO Promotion secured to the Premier League tonight with another good win against an improved Morgan side. Again good
all round performance and ran out comfortable in the second half despite missing heaps of opportunities and yet another miss
of the year contender... Goals from Craig(2),Paul and Jharone. Well done lads great achievement !

MERPRO 4 V 1 FC CLAYPOTTS GRAY TROPHY 2ND ROUND SATURDAY 7/5/11

move and eventually chances taken to run comfortable winners to move into semi final v Lowson/Morgan. Goals from
Grove Chippie(2), Craig and Honey Monster..

MERPRO 0 V 2 NEWPORT DIVISION 1 WEDNESDAY 4/5/11 7PM KO Both sides contributing to a good footballing match.Merpro created a few chances but cutting edge lacking.Newport clinical
with their few chances and dogged second half defending kept Merpro at bay to inflict only second league
defeat of the season..
FC CLAYPOTTS 2 V 3 MERPRO DIVISION 1 SATURDAY 30/4/11 2PM KO Bit of a re run of midweek match with a few added thrills thrown in..good
opening creating chances at will, went 1-0 up,Claypotts GK Seaton pulling off great saves then defensive slip gifts goal away.Claypotts
then on top but into second half go ahead straight from ko looking good again then sending off for hand ball on
goaline and Claypotts convert pen to make it 2-2 and down to 10 men..keep attacking formation and get reward with
good combination goal. Then backs to the proverbial brick wall as bombarded for rest of the game..but held out...goals from
Craig, Sean and Euan.
ARBROATH CSC 2 V 4 MERPRO DIVISION 1 WEDNESDAY 27/4/11
6.30PM KO Yet another thriller tonight eventually triumphing with some late goals after another rollercoaster..fantastic
start with 2 goals in first 2 minutes then creating and missing good chances to kill match off. Arbroath snatched one
back with Gall and then in second half equalised and we took bit of a pummeling but came through to pick up
game again in end with two goals in last 10 minutes to win . Goals from Euan,Sean,Craig and Paul Duncan's
first ever for Merpro proudly broadcasted on Facebook ! DUNDEE UNIVERSITY V MERPRO GRAY TROPHY 1st Round SATURDAY 23/4/11
2PM KO Match called off by University as unable to raise a side for the game.
DOUGLAS
SC 3 V 3 MERPRO DIVISION 1 SATURDAY 16/4/11 2PM KO Dramatic rollercoaster of a match. Douglas
better side in first half and led 2-0 at half time although Merpro had the most chances.Merpro galvanised in second half and
scored in 46th minute only for Douglas to go up the park and score in the 47th minute...Merpro refused to give up and piled
on the pressure and overall on chances created should have taken all full points but came up against an inspired Douglas keeper
who had an excellent match. Cracking game with both sides deserving credit on a difficult pitch. Goals from
Euan,Sean and Craig(pen) (Hendo also saved pen to add to it all)
MERPRO 1 V 1 LOWSON UNITED DIVISION 1 WEDNESDAY 13/4/11
6.30PM KO Draw takes us back to top of the league..went ahead early with Jharone goal and looked likely to score a few
more but for second game in a row failed to capitalise on chances created. Lowson worked hard as always but rarely
threatened until got break of ball and snapped up their chance efficiently late in 2nd half to grab share of
the spoils. MERPRO 3 V 3 TAYSIDE FIRE BRIGADE (aet) (TFB won 4-2 on pens) BREMNER
CUP QUARTER FINAL SATURDAY 9/4/11 2PM KO Bremner Cup run comes to a disapointing end.Good attacking game
with both sides GK's making excellent saves.'Firies' started well and went ahead on two occasions but we came
back each time and eventually went into the lead. However sat back on lead and TFB equalised two minutes into
injury time to take match to extra time. Merpro created overall more chances and hit the woodwork but credit to opponents
who we wish well in the next round. Goals from Craig, Barry and Euan. Pen goals scored by Craig/Chris with
misses from Sean/Barry.

FC POLONIA 0 V 1 MERPRO DIVISION 1 2PM KO SATURDAY 2/4/11 Frustrating scrappy match but managed to overcome a perfectly good disallowed goal, dubious decisons and
a sending off to grind out the win. On top for most of the match but needed late og goal 5 mins from time. Down to 10
men with 15 mins to go as Rhys sent off for 2 bookings - despite this continued to attack and got deserved
reward. MERPRO 6 V 1 MICHELIN ATHLETIC DIVISION

v Wellbank few years back..) allowed Coldside to maintain their unbeaten run. A very open match with goals from Euan,
Konan and Puyol.

ELMWOOD 0 V 2 MERPRO FERRARI'S SHIELD CUP FINAL CRAIGIE
PARK DUNDEE FRIDAY 21st May 2010 Goals from Christie and Wilson seal
Merpro's first trophy success in Midlands Association. Better side in first half and went ahead just before
half time. Pressed back in second half but solid defence kept Elmwood at bay before clinching game with late goal.Further
'offside 'goal by Chris chalked off ruining his celebrations and then Fin in final minutes managed
the Mother of all misses from a couple of yards to finish the entertainment...
Merpro AFC would like to thank
all of the large contingent who made it through to support the team to make it a memorable evening.
